My research interests lie at the intersection of philology, linguistics, and intellectual history, with a particular focus on Byzantine Greek, grammatical thought, textual interpretation, Byzantine literary and religious texts, and the transmission of classical learning in Byzantium. My work combines close philological analysis with the history of linguistic thought to explore the relationship between language, literary form, and intellectual culture in Byzantine texts. It has resulted in a peer-reviewed journal article published in
Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies (Cambridge University).

Research Areas

Byzantine Greek Linguistics

Byzantine Philology

Byzantine Grammar and the History of Linguistic Thought

Byzantine Poetry, Hymnography, and Religious Literature

Greek Textual Criticism

Intellectual History of Byzantium

Byzantine Philosophy and Theology

Hagiography

Transmission of Classical Learning

Education

Uppsala University│ Sweden
Master of Arts in Ancient Greek and Byzantine Studies (Graduated: September 2025)

Master’s Thesis: Ioannes Glykys’ On Correct Syntax: Linguistic Theory on Theological and Anthropological Foundations.
